26 Mar Why Our Newest Franchisee Chose Healthy Feet
You might be surprised to know that the majority of our new franchisees didn’t set out to start a new foot care business.
So we’ve caught up with our newest Franchisee Jude to talk about her decision to become a foot care practitioner and why she chose Healthy Feet:
Did you know you wanted to work in foot care or were you looking into other options?
Having decided to leave my current job, I was looking for a complete change of career direction, whilst being aware that I was probably getting too old for one!
I knew I wanted to work for myself so I started by searched online for businesses for sale in my local area. I am interested in the Healthcare industry so I also looked into foot care courses.
Healthy Feet appeared on a business websites and they looked really interesting, so I looked through their website and downloaded the prospectus.
What made you want to find out more about Healthy Feet?
It just seemed so accessible and achievable. I was looking for a change of career and wasn’t blown away by anything else I’d seen, until I read about Healthy Feet.
There seemed to be no age barriers with Healthy Feet and I like the idea of doing something different and having a new adventure before it’s too late.
The main reason for joining Healthy Feet though, was the support I would get setting up my business.
I instantly liked everyone at Healthy Feet and realised how much support I would get from them.
I knew that I would never have made such major changes on my own without their support.
Did you have any concerns before you enquired about owning a Franchise?
Yes, I have never worked with feet before and I was worried whether I could actually do it.
I didn’t know if I was going to be any good at the job, or whether I would get enough clients to earn a decent living.
I realise most of my concerns are about my own abilities and whether or not I’d be able to do the job.
I also realise that Sophie and Debra will be there to coach me through. And so far they have been nothing but supportive, helpful and friendly and I am really looking forward to growing my new business and our professional relationship.
Big thanks to Jude for taking the time to talk to us, and we are really looking forward to getting her set up in Cardiff and we will keep you posted on her progress.
